Nuiton-Beaunoy Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018

Garnet in color with a soft red berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice soft red berries, raspberries and strawberries. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice palate coating sour cherry notes, lovey dryness, acidity and tannins. The complexity of this wine particularly without food is impressive, it definitely punches above it’s price, this is quite a good varietal pinot noir for the money. We paired it with Caroline’s homemade tortierre recipe and it went well! Thanks sis! I would give this an 88 or so, and will definitely go back and grab more. Believe it or not it’s actually even an AOC … Yumm From the LCBO web site, check stock:

Nuiton-Beaunoy Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018 from LCBO

Crimson red colour, violet hues. Peony aromas, lightly perfumed with red fruits, quite restrained. In the mouth, there is crunchy red fruits, raspberry and cherry, with a gamey, savoury note. Impressive structure for the style, good medium tannins, with plenty of freshness and bite on the finish. Excellent for what it is. Score – 90. (International Wine & Spirit Competition, 2019)
