Villa Trasqua Chianti Classico

Dark in color with a nice red berry nose along with some wood notes. On the mid palate the wine displays some beautiful rich red cherries along with noticeable oak, and some alcohol notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some smooth crisp dry tannins and acidity that coat the palate along with some dried berry notes. There’s also some mocha/coffee on the finish. There’s noticeable oak and alcohol throughout , this is a good wine, but more of a drink now, and some breathing or decanting might ease it a bit. I would give it an -88 or so … From the LCBO web site, check stock:
