Sons of Eden Freya Riesling 2018

Pale in color with a varietal honey suckle nose. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with honey suckle being dominant along with some citrus, and lime notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice acidity. This is quite a dry, varietal, fruit forward drink now riesling I quite enjoyed it. I’d give it an 88 or so … From the LCBO web site, check stock: The LCBO say aromatic and flavorful and I’d have to agree.

Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed. The citrus and lime blossom bouquet leads into a wonderfully expressive palate, with Roses lime juice flavours filling all the senses. Fruit-sweet until the finish, when crisp acidity dries the mouthfeel. Drink by: 2027. Special Value. Score – 93. (James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au, Aug. 1, 2019)
