Mountadam Riesling 2018

Pale straw in color with a very mild honeysuckle nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice crisp, dry, minerality, as long as some citrus notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice crisp minerality that lingers nicely in the mouth. It’s nice and dry, but be careful to not serve it too cold, warmer and it’s depth comes through more. I would give this an 88 or so, and to my tastes a lot more towards a Alsace Riesling than a sweet German Riesling. From the LCBO web site: Check stock

Exceptional riesling! Bravo! A seam of transparent, juicy acidity transports yuzu spice, grapefruit pulp, nashi gelato and lemon drop flavours long. Mellifluous. Graceful. A sophisticated spellbinding wine. Fresh, but nothing tangy, nor hard. Special Value. Drink by: 2030. Score – 96. (Ned Goodwin, winecompanion.com.au, Aug. 1, 2019)
