San Felice Chianti Classico 2017

Dark in color with a nice cherry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice cherry notes, along with some nice tomato notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice smooth acidity and tannins, nice and dry. The LCBO say medium bodied and fruity, I’d say right on! I would give it an 88 or so … We paired it with homemade pizza and it went well, as my wine instructor said, if it grows together it goes together 😉 From the LCBO web site, check stock:

Image for San Felice Chianti Classico 2017 from LCBO

A wine with solid density and freshness for the vintage with a medium to full body, dusty tannins and a flavorful finish. Better in 2020, but already pretty. Score – 91. (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Nov. 7, 2019)
