2017 G. Marquis Chard

I’ve previously reviewed both the 2014 and 2016 vintages of this wine and been impressed. I was grabbing the pinot so grabbed the chard at the same time. Slightly golden in color with a nice apple/pear nose. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with rich apple and pear notes along with some nice vanilla and butterscotch. On the medium length finish the wine is nice and dry and the apple and pear linger nicely. The LCBO say full bodied and rich, I whole heartedly agree. I would give it an 88+. Very nice deal for the price. I paired it with pan fried cod and it was a lovely compliment to the subtle flavors of cod. Act now … limited time off $2 off!
