2012 Coda di Volpe DOC

We stopped by Terroni and this one was on their wine list. If you’ve not been to Terroni’s before, and like Italian, give it a try. They have a great wine list and even sell their own olive oil! This wine is pale in color with a nice crisp nose with lots of lemon/lime coming through. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with crisp lemon/lime citrus notes coming through. On the medium length finish the wine displays some lovely minerality along with some crisp acidity. This is a well made, food friendly wine. Sadly not in the LCBO. I would give it an 88-89. Yumm.

From Terroni’s wine list:
2012 Coda di Volpe DOC, Fattoria La Rivolta, Campania
Beautifully ripe and expressive with floral yellow stone
fruits, mint and minerals. There is a generosity and
textured feel to the fruit that’s especially appealing.
