2012 Peninsula Ridge AJ Lepp Vineyards Merlot mini review

Dark in color with a nice plummy nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some lighter fruit forward plum to match the nose backed by some mild tannins. Not a bad Merlot. I would give it an 88 or so.

From the LCBO web site:
Peninsula Ridge A.J. Lepp Vineyards Reserve Merlot — LCBO#: 299222
STYLE – Full-bodied & Smooth
An impressive depth on the nose with black fruits, leather, licorice, Black Forest cake and hickory shining through. Lovely velvety consistency with round tannins and juicy fruit. More black licorice on the bright and juicy finish. (VINTAGES panel, July 2013) $18.95
