Cline 2011 Pinot Noir

Garnet in color with a mild nose of light red berries. On the mid pallet the wine displays some light red berries to match the nose, strawberries and raspberries. There’s some sweetness there as well. This is definitely a more fruit forward pinot. On the medium length finish the wine displays some acidity, some tannins and some earthy notes. I would give it an 88 or so.

Tasting Note
Dark cherry and freshly grated beet notes are joined by strawberry and vanilla touches that make for an inviting nose. A flavourful style of Pinot with a big berry and cherry core. The tannins are ripe and satiny. Flavourful, warm finish. A nice match for barbecued chicken. (VINTAGES panel, May 2013)
