2006 Franco Conterno Barolo mini review

I tasted this wine at the Gourmet Food and Wine show. Dark in color, with a lovely nose of dried fruits. On the mid pallet this wine has that super dry pucker power that is in keeping with a Barolo. It builds very nicely with dried fruits, some raisiny tastes coming through on the long finish. This is a beefy well made Barolo. Yum, another one of my favorites of the show. I would give it a solid 90-91. It’s $52 a bottle but unfortunately not available in the LCBO. Only on consignment from LaCantina Imports so by the case.
