Château de Marsan 2018

Dark in color with a mild black berry nose. On the mid palate the wine display vibrant black fruits, nice mocha and oaking notes. On the medium length finish the wine has beautiful, velvety, firm tannins that stick to the tongue nicely, nice and dry, and some nice acidity. For the price this is a bargain, but honestly I think it’s a drink now to my tastes to don’t buy a lot of it, but I will be going back for more. Yumm. I would give this an 88+. Fresh-plum, soil, licorice and walnut-husk aromas. It’s medium-bodied with sleek, tight-grained tannins. Juicy finish. Try from 2022. Score – 90. (jamessuckling.com, March 3, 2021)
