2017 Featherstone Cabernet Franc

Dark in color with a nice mild black cherry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some black cherries to match the nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some firm acidity and lighter tannins, nice and dry. This is a nice approachable cab franc for the price. I would give it an 88 or so. We paired it with a striploin … As it opened up some mocha notes came out, it might be a little young. This is a lovely entry level cab franc. From the LCBO web site, check stock:

Featherstone Cabernet Franc from LCBO

This Cab Franc consistently over-delivers at this price point. It features excellent depth and complexity of rich dark fruit and vanilla notes accented by bright floral tones. Balanced and structured, it can be enjoyed tonight with your favourite grilled meats.
