Underwood Rosé 2020

Try as I did, I could not find ANYTHING about the grapes used in this rose. Salmon in color with a mild nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some strawberry and a hint of sweetness and honeysuckle. Honestly I wouldn’t have picked it up, but their own description says “Tasting Notes: Rose, Peach, Honeysuckle” and ya, I can get it, peach is subtle at best. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice vibrant acidity and dryness. This is not a bad Rose, but not a fav of mine either, the honeysuckle notes just seem errant to the wine. I would give it an 87-88. Luckily I only bought one ;( From the LCBO web site, check stock:

Underwood Rosé 2020 from LCBO

This rosé comes from sites in the Willamette and Umpqua valleys and offers up great balance and a food-friendly, crisp character. There is considerable elegance here, along with floral, juicy citrus and tropical tones. A lip-smacking delight as a sipper, it will also be a fine match for summer salads or grilled seafood.
