Terredora Di Paolo Aglianico 2018

Dark in color with a nice nice dark berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays edgy sharp red berries along with some noticeable strong oak notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some vibrant acidity along with some noticeable tannic notes. If your looking for a smooth elegant wine, ya this isn’t that. We paired it with bacon wrapped filet mignon and it held it’s own, even a little strong for it. This is a perfect pizza or spaghetti wine. At this price it’s a little expensive for an Aglianico, but we enjoyed it for the variety … I would give it an -88 … I know I’m on a roll of that rating number, I guess, at least I’m getting a consistent number of good wines? 🙂 From the LCBO web site, check stock:
