Nals Margreid Hill Pinot Grigio 2018

Biases up front, I don’t buy a lot of Pinot Grigio, I rarely find them tasty enough to bother. This one is pale straw in color with a mild minerally nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice mild citrus notes along with minerality to match the nose. On the medium length finish the citrus and acidity live on in the mouth, although, mostly without food. We paired it with pan fried pickerel and with the food the wine went fine, and held it’s own for the most part, the length was not as noticeable. This is a nice a nice patio summer supper, nice and dry, and refreshing. I would give it an -88. Not a bad wine, but given the price I won’t be racing out to buy more.
