Long Barn Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Dark in color with a mild soft red berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice dark cherries, more of a fruit forward wine without being a fruit bomb. On the medium length finish the wine displays some dark chocolate notes along with some nice smooth tannins and vibrant acidity. There’s a teeny tiny bit of herbal notes on the finish, especially notable without food. Not a bad cab for the price. I would give it an -88. From the LCBO web site, check stock

Long Barn Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 from LCBO

Long Barn winemaker Stefano Migotto brings his northern Italian sensibility to California winemaking, as evidenced by this rich, plush mouthful of cassis and chocolaty goodness that retains fine structure. He suggests pairing it with prime rib. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2019)
