Roche de Bellene Cuvée Réserve Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018

Garnet in color with a nice red berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice ripe cherry notes along with some nice rustic and earthy notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice vibrant acidity and tannins with the dryness and acidity lingering beautifully. This is a lovely, complex pinot. I would give it an 88+ which for the price is a good deal, yum. From the LCBO web site, check stock:

Roche de Bellene Cuvée Réserve Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018 from LCBO

This is an affordable introduction to Burgundy. It was a hot year in Europe so this shows a bit more colour depth and ripeness than normal, with pretty cran-raspberry, violet and fine scented oak. It is medium weight, nicely firm, a touch juicy with good tannin. I like the balance here, although it could use another year or two. Very good length. Score – 90.
