2015 Redstone Cab/merlot

Dark in color with a nice rich red berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice firm dark cherry notes along with some earthy notes and mocha/coffee … On the medium length finish the wine displays some velvety, edgy tannins and vibrant acidity. This wine is all about your preferences, if your open to a bigger wine, with food that can withstand an edgy wine it’s good. If you prefer a softer gentler wine you probably want to decant it or age it. For me it’s a drink now with lots of character $29.95 at the winery … Sadly no details on the web site. I was about ready to press save on this post when it started … a significant (not the worst I’ve had) allergic reaction, unstoppable sneezing, nose running, for about an hour. This happens to me when the wine has higher than usual levels of sulphites, odd because I’ve had many Tawse and Redstone wines and this has never happened.
