Laurenz V. Friendly Grüner Veltliner 2016

Pale in color with a nice minerally/citrus nose. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with lovely, vibrant racy citrus notes and acidity. This is a lively wine that can hold it’s own with lots of food choices. On the medium length finish the vibrant acidity lives on in the mouth. This is ABSOLOUTELY NOT a summer sipper 🙂 I would give it an 88 or so. If your looking for a classic Grüner this is a perfect example! The LCBO say light and crisp? Bizarre

Generous yet bone-dry, featuring white peach, apple, lemon and elderflower aromas and flavors. Firm, with a finish that verges on austere, yet remains long, picking up a mineral edge. Drink now through 2024. Score – 91. (Bruce Sanderson, winespectator.com, Sept. 30, 2018)Read More
