Kir-Yianni Akakies Xinomavro Rosé 2018

I’ve been on a bit of journey on Roses lately so when I saw this one I trundled off and found one … it was a bit of a quest 🙂 Strawberry in color with a mild soft red berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice crisp dryness, and some vibrant acidity. On the medium length finish the wine displays some hints of rhubarb, and some palate coating acidity that lingers beautifully especially without food. This is a super nice rose with some nice complexity to it. For the price, this is a bargain. We enjoyed it. Be careful to pair it with things not too hearty or the wine can be overwhelmed. I would give it an 88. If yo can get your hands on some of it … DO!
