2014 Montes Alpha cab sauv

I previously tasted the 2013 of this wine and enjoyed it at the Chilean wine show so I bought this one. Dark in color with an odd, almost woody nose. On the mid palate there are some noticeable mint notes, something I am not fond of, along with some dark red cherries. The mint notes died down as it breathed, but were still there. On the medium length finish there’s some nice dryness, tannins and complexity. I would give it an -88. Not bad, but not great either. If I had more I would return them 🙁 Not sure if they are simply having consistency issues or what …
