Paco & Lola Albariño 2013

Pale in color with a nice nose of crisp minerality. On the mid palate the wine spot on matches the nose with crisp minerality, some nice zesty citrus notes and straight out of the bottle a hint of flint. The flint passed quickly. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice crisp acidity that lingers nicely in the mouth. This is a quite a nice wine. I would give it an 88 or so. Very food friendly. If your not familiar with Albariño they are very Sauv blanc like. Well the ones I like are anyway. We don’t get a lot of them in the LCBO so if you haven’t had one this is a good one to try. Occasionally they can be sweeter (which this one is not).

Paco & Lola Albariño 2013 — VINTAGES#: 350041

This is a lovely albarino with snap, depth and well defined, lifted aromas of pineapple/starfruit, fresh herbs, yellow flowers. It’s mid-weight, very fresh yet structured, with great acidity and a sense of minerality. The length is very good. Tasted August 2015. Score – 90. (David Lawrason,, Nov. 14, 2015) $18.95
