2014 Gabbiano Promessa Pinot Grigio

Pale in color with a nice crisp nose with minerality and citrus notes coming through. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with nice crisp dry minerality and citrus notes. On the medium length finish the wine has some lovely dryness, and some good length that build in the mouth along with some nice fresh acidity. This is a surprisingly good wine for the money. A perfect patio sipper. The length of the finish increased nicely as the wine warmed up. Be sure to not serve it too cold or you will miss a lot of the complexity of the wine. This would be a very food friendly wine. The wine is 90% Pinot Grigio and 10% Chardonnay grown outside of the Chianti region. I would give it an 88+. A bargoon for the price.
