Wente Riva Ranch Chardonnay 2013 mini review

A reminder mini-reviews were based on a small sample. This one was tasted at the California Wine fair.
Pale in color with lovely varietal chard nose. On the mid palate the wine displays lovely chard fruit with some nice apple and pear coming through. On the medium length finish the wine has some nice acidity along with some vanilla notes. Not a bad chard at all! I would give it an 88+

From the LCBO web site (for a different year):
Wente Riva Ranch Chardonnay 2012 — VINTAGES#: 979344
STYLE – Full-bodied & Rich
Creamy, oaky Chardonnay with plenty of ripe orchard fruit and juicy tropical fruit. There’s a pretty floral element to the aromas, too. Enjoy it with pork chops and roasted potatoes. (VINTAGES panel, Jan. 2014) $21.95
