VIÑA BERCEO CRIANZA 2008

Dark in color with a mild nose and some oak. On the mid pallet the wine displays some mild fruit, some chocolate, but this wine lives in the medium length finish where the wine displays some firm tannins, some lovely dryness and a bit of acidity. This is a lovely big tempranillo but softens with food. Quite good. I would give it an 89.

Tasting Note
The 2008 Vina Berceo Crianza has a rich, dark plum and boysenberry-scented bouquet with touches of spice and clove. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, lithe tannins. It displays very good balance on the natural, refined, earthy finish, which demonstrates great persistency. This is a lovely Crianza to savor. Drink now-2017. Score – 90.
