2009 Cannonball Cab Sauv

We stopped by Far Niente and this wine was on the by the glass menu so I thought I’d give it a try. Dark in color with a nice nose of red berries and some oak. On the mid pallet this wine is a big bold fruit forward California style cab with lots of red berries to match the nose, and some nice cassis. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice smooth tannins to finish off a well made cab! I would give this a solid 90! Yummy.

Tasting Note
The color is very dark. The aroma is appealing with nice fruit and some awesome baking spice. The taste is soft and approachable with just enough tannin to give it structure. Score – 89. (Mark Tarbell, azcentral.com, March 6, 2012)
