2012 BOTTEGA VINO DEI POETI PROSECCO

Pale in color with nice mild nose of minerality and citrus notes. On the mid pallet this is another lovely prosecco displaying nice citrus notes to match the nose, and a hint of honeysuckle. The bubbles are nice and fine making this a wine that is very food friendly. I would put this wine anywhere you would a sauv blanc. Or just as a sipper before dinner. The wine is on the lighter side of medium in length with some nice mouth grip that builds nicely especially without food. There’s a hint of some acidity there but not in a bad way. I would give this a solid 89. For the money this is another great deal. For a guy (me) who doesn’t like bubbly I must say I am enjoying proseccos! Thanks to my Italian friends for introducing me to these and to their relatives for making them 🙂
