2010 Calvet Reserve Red Merlot/Cab Sauv

Dark in color with a mild nose. On the mid pallet the wine is dominant with plums consistent with with a merlot and some black berries. Where this wine shines is all on the finish where it displays a ton of complexity with lots of layers of flavors. There’s some beautiful dryness, some nice tartness and even some peppery spiceyness. Given the price the wine is quite impressive.I would give it an 89.
