2010 Bachelder Saunders Vineyard Chard

New wineries are cropping up in Niagara at a brisk pace. I hadn’t heard of this one but encountered them at the Vintages Taste Ontario event. They buy all there grapes. They had three Chards there, this one was by far their best to my tastes. Pale in color with a big chard nose. On the mid pallet there’s some lovely rich chard fruit some vanilla, and a hint of butterscotch. It’s on the lighter side of medium on the finish. This is a nice well made chard. Not as complex as say Hidden Bench Felseck bench chard but nice none the less. At $44.95 this one isn’t cheap. I would give it an 89-90. Looks like this specific one isn’t in the LCBO.
