2008 Peninsula Ridge Sauvignon Blanc

I previously reviewed the 2009 which I got at the winery and was impressed. The 2008 is in the LCBO. Pale in color with a mild citrusy nose. On the mid pallet this wine is dominated by strong tartness and grapefruit flavors. Not quite sharp but very dominant. On the finish the wine has a lingering acidity that goes on for a bit. I would give it an 88 or so. Not as deep or rich as the 2009. More edgy and unrefined.

Check LCBO stock.
