2009 La Frenz Montage

Another Okanogan wine we had at Big White ski resort. Dark in color with a subtle nose of black berries. On the mid pallet this started out dominated by blue berries with some sweetness.  The fruit settled down as it breathed. On the finish the wine has some nice fine tannins along with a nice bit of spiciness.  There’s some nice complexity on the finish with some nice dryness that builds nicely in the mouth. I would give it an 89 or so. We paired it with a red sauce and it held up nicely. Not available in the LCBO paid 24 for it in BC.
