Château La Gorce 2018

I haven’t had this one in a while, way back in 2014 it was the 2005 vintage back then … Dark in color with a nice rich dark berry nose … On the mid palate the wine displays big bold black fruits to match the nose, black cherries and the like along with some rich mocha and dark chocolate notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays firm but approachable tannins and acidity. If you like your wines with some bits, then drink now, if you prefer a little more subtle and elegant give it a year or so to age or decant it. The complexity and layers of this wine are lovely. I would give it a solid 88+ which for the price is not a bad deal at all, super dry! I’m going back to get some more for the cellar! This will easily keep a couple years, maybe even 5 … Yumm!
