Sidewood Chardonnay 2018

Pale straw in color with a mild nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some apple and pear. On the mid palate the wine displays some oaky, toasty, spicy/pepper notes with a slightly creamy texture, nice and dry. If your expecting a oak dominant chard you will be disappointed, this leans more to the side of an unoaked chard to my tastes. There some nice mouth grip to the minerality and citrus notes. The LCBO site said grapefruit, I’m not sure I am leaning that far but it has some tangy notes. I would give it an 87-88, expectations are everything and this didn’t meet mine sadly. I won’t be running back for more, it you like more unoaked this might be a nice compromise. From the LCBO web site, check stock:
