Mado en Provence Rosé 2020

Pale salmon in color with a nice crisp minerally nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice soft red berry notes, strawberry and raspberries … On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice dry crispness where the minerality sticks nicely to the tongue. This is a classic Provence, crisp dry Rose. I would give it an -88, quite nice. As always, don’t serve this too cold or you will loose a LOT of the complexity of the wine. Mado en Provence Rosé 2020 from LCBO

Coteaux Varois en Provence is quite young, having only been established in 1993. It’s a prime appellation for rosé, which represents the lion’s share of the wines produced here. Compared to areas such as Bandol, the region is quite cool, translating to exceptional freshness and lift in the wines. Sip this one on a sunny day with a charcuterie plate.
