Merf Chardonnay 2018

Pale to golden in color with a mild apple/pear nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice fruit forward apple/pear along with some mild vanilla notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice dryness and pear notes. It all depends how you like your chards, if you prefer mild oaking, then this is right up your alley with some nice fruit forward notes … If your like me and prefer bold rich, creamy oaked chards, meh this one isn’t for you. I would give it an 87-88 … From the LCBO web site check stock: The LCBO web site says full bodied and rich? Not to my tastes.

This buttery Chardonnay has a sensual, rich texture and offers ripe apple and rich vanilla notes. Fresh, integrated acidity keeps everything balanced. Crafted to offer wide appeal, this will be an easy match for grilled chicken-and-bell-pepper kebabs, pork chops or ham. (Vintages panel, May 2019)
