Domaine Jacky Marteau Sauvignon Touraine 2018

Pale straw in color with a nice citrus nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice citrus notes to match the nose. On the medium in length finish the wine displays some soft mild acidity. Be careful what you pair this with or it will overwhelm the wine pretty easily. Not a bad sauv blanc from the Loire region of France. Touraine where this comes from can bring some reasonable priced alternatives to Sancerre. I would give it an -88. From the LCBO web site, check stock.

You will find this to be a floral, attractive wine, with a concentrated lemon-tinged palate and a hint of fruit sweetness on the close. This will be a wine that puts the focus on texture. A good option for any seafood dish.Read Less
