Rcabernet Sauvignon 2017

Dark in color with a nice black cherry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some black cherries, blackberries and cassis. On the medium length finish the wine has some strong acidity, mild peppery notes and mild tannins. This is not a bad cab, but sadly, not a great one either. I would give it an 87-88. I bought two, will likely take one back.

This is a balanced, plush, bold Cabernet that hits all the marks. There’s a complex array of aromas and flavours to indulge in, including blueberry, blackcurrant, bramble, baking spice, mocha and graphite. Displaying great tension and backbone, this has the oomph for big dishes such as lamb shanks or venison. (Vintages panel, July 2019)Read More
