Simonsig Chardonnay 2017

Pale in color with a lovely apple/pear nose. On the mid palate the wine displays beautiful vibrant apple and pear to match the nose. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice dryness and acidity. It’s slightly creamy with some noticeable oak and vanilla. If you like your chards hugely oaked this might not be for you … if you like your chards unaoked, this might not be for you. This is somewhere smack in the middle. I paired it with scallops and … yumm. I would give it an 88, which for the price is a good deal.
