Small Gully The Formula Robert’s

My taste buds have ebbed and flowed on Shiraz, I’m kinda in a meh phase on them. This one was on sampling at the LCBO by me so I grabbed one. Dark in color with a nice black berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice juicy, jammy black berries to match the nose, almost blueberries. On the lighter side of medium length finish the wine displays some soft tannins and pepper. This is largely a fruit forward wine. While the sugar content is quite low, it still has an air of sweetness to it. I would give it an 87-88. I didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it either. I look for something bigger in the finish for shirazs.
