Château Le Grand Verdus Réserve 2015

Every now and then an inexpensive Bordeaux shows up that is well worth the price. It encourages me to keep looking for that bargoon. This wine (spoiler alert) is one of those … Dark in color with a nice black berry nose. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with lovely black berries coming through. The fruit is quite vibrant. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice tannins, acidity as well as some oak. This is a very approachable wine now and should last another 1-2 years. I would give it an 88+ which for the price is a good deal. It will hold up well to red meats! The LCBO say full bodied and fruity, I completely agree!! This wine is from Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux.
