Montes Alpha Pinot Noir 2015

Garnet in color with a nice soft red berry fruit nose. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with lovely strawberry notes along with some nice varietal rustic notes coming through. On the medium length finish the wine displays nice dryness, smooth tannins and acidity. This is quite a good pinot, and one of the better ones I’ve tasted from Chile. Definitely made in more of a fruit forward, drink now juicy style. The LCBO refer to it as medium bodied and fruity and I would agree. I would give it an 88+.

STYLE – Medium-bodied & Fruity
A tangy and fresh wine with dried strawberry and hints of smoke. Medium to full body, round tannins and a fresh finish. A pretty pinot with plenty of texture and flavor. Drink now. Score – 91. (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, May 29, 2017)
