Sister’s Run Old Testament Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Dark in color with a nice red cherry nose. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with some juicy red cherries coming through. On the medium length finsih the wine displays some nice dryness and smooth tannins. A super food friendly cab, that definitely leans more towards fruit forward. I would give it an 88 or so, which for the price is not bad. The LCBO call it full bodied and smooth and I would have to agree!

Description: Cabernet Sauvignon is the king of wines, and the famous terra rossa soils of Coonawarra are where you’ll find the grape’s throne room in Australia. It’s here that vines, grown in iron-oxide-rich soils atop a limestone base, produce Australia’s most renowned Cabernets. This single-vineyard example will be a textured, layered, complex wine with rich dark fruit accented by chocolate and spice notes. Ideal for a wide range of barbecue fare.
