Wakefield Pinot Noir 2016

Garnet in color with a mild light red berry nose. On the mid palate there are some varietal pinot noir notes, this raspberries and the like. On the mid palate the wine displays some varietal pinot noir notes to match the nose, some light red berries along with a hint of black berries. On the medium length finish the wine displays some slight peppery notes, some smooth tannins and some nice dryness. This is a good pinot noir, but not a great one. Medium bodied and fruity is how the LCBO describe it and I would agree. I won’t rush back to get more … I would give it an -88
