2015 Azul cab Sauv (mini review)

I previously tasted Azul’s Sauv blanc and enjoyed it! This one is inky dark in color with a bold dark cherry nose. On the mid palate the wine has a lovely, expressive dark cherry taste to match the nose along with some hints of mocha. On the medium length finish the wine displays some subtle tannins and acidity. This would be a super food friendly wine for dishes like red sauce based pasta, or salmon. I would give it an 88+. Not in the LCBO but available in cases of 12 for $26 a bottle from Apparition Wines. Yumm. This wine saw no oak, so it allows the fruit to be the star … It is 100% cab sauv.
