2005 Château Beauregard

This is a merlot/Cab franc blend. It’s dark in color with a mild nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some deep rich fruit, plum is coming through (from the merlot) as well as some nice dark berries (from the franc). This wine has held up very well. On the medium length finish the wine displays some smooth tannins along with some nice pepper and spice. A beautiful wine. I would give it an 89-90. We paired it with fillet mignon and it went splendidly and made the meal! Yumm. A birthday gift from my best bud Jason! Thanks Bro! It’s been in my cellar for a number of years, is not currently in the LCBO, but was worth $39.95.
