2013 Matua Pinot Noir mini review

Garnet in color with a nice varietal nose of soft red berries and rustic notes. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with soft red berries, strawberries and some nice rustic notes. This is definitely a softer more fruit forward Pinot. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice tannins and acidity. It would be very food friendly. I would give it an 88 or so, in the general list in the LCBO.

From the LCBO web site:
Matua Marlborough Pinot Noir — LCBO#: 358952
STYLE – Light-bodied & Fruity
Pale ruby in colour; distinct aromas of strawberry, cherries and plum; the palate is light and extra-dry with soft flavours of strawberry and cherry, earth and a hint of spice. $17.95
