Nieto Senetiner Don Nicanor Cabernet/Malbec/Merlot 2012

Inky dark in color with a nice nose of black berries. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with some lovely dark berries coming through along with some mocha notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice tannins and complexity along with some lively acidity. I would give it an 88 or so. Quite nice.

Nieto Senetiner Don Nicanor Cabernet/Malbec/Merlot 2012 — VINTAGES#: 640938
STYLE – Full-bodied & Smooth
Nieto Senetiner began in 1888 when it was founded by Italian immigrants who planted the very first vineyards in Vistalba, Lujan de Cuyo. The winery was purchased by the Nieto Senetiner family in 1969. The 2012 has complex and layered notes of black cherry, blackberry, coffee and spice on the nose. The palate is ripe and crisp with excellent replays and beautiful tannins. A real crowd-pleaser. (VINTAGES panel, Oct. 2014) $16.95
