2013 Bonterra Merlot

Dark color with a nice plummy nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice plummy notes, even a hint of jammyness along with some light red cherries. On the medium length finish the wine displays some noticeable alcohol along with some nice tannins and a hint of pepper. I would give it an 88 or so.

From the LCBO web site for a different year.
Bonterra Merlot 2010 — VINTAGES#: 984724
STYLE – Full-bodied & Smooth
Beautifully decadent aromas and flavours of chocolate cake, cola, blackberry jam and chocolate-dipped cherry. The palate is wonderfully smooth with ripe, plush tannins wrapped around all that chocolatey fruit. Long, flavourful finish. Will make a meal of eggplant parmigiana, mole poblano chicken or homemade burgers even more delicious. (VINTAGES panel, Feb. 2013) $19.95
