Château de Panigon 2011

I last wrote up the 2010 vintage of this wine and enjoyed it. Dark in color with a lovely dark berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some lovely dark berries to match the nose along with some noticeable oak. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice dryness, tannins and complexity. I would give it an 89 which for the price is not a bad deal. We paired it with rack of lamb and it went perfectly.

From the LCBO web site:

Château de Panigon 2011 Bordeaux — VINTAGES#: 348250Style – Full-bodied & Firm  ›

This structured, fruity wine has a core of dense tannins. The firm smokiness from wood marries well with the blackberry fruit and tight acidity. Well balanced, and likely to age well for 4-6 years. Score – 90. (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Sept. 2013) $22.95
