Fielding Estate Bottled Chardonnay 2013

Pale in color with a mild nose of apple. On the mid palate the wine displays some apple, pear and a hint of vanilla. This one, sadly, is no where near as good as the 2012 IMHO. There’s some firm acidity on the medium length finish. I would give it an 87-88.

From the LCBO web site:
Fielding Estate Bottled Chardonnay 2013 — VINTAGES#: 355842
STYLE – Full-bodied & Rich
Toasty, buttery notes and a hint of caramel are balanced here by crisp apple fruit, good acid cut, and a mineral quality. It’s a Chardonnay that stylistically has one foot in big and rich, and the other in lean and focused. It’ll be very food-flexible – try it with crab cakes, roast chicken, or pork chops. (VINTAGES panel, May 2014) $17.75
